The ollie is the basis of almost every skateboarding trick. Learning how to Ollie can be very challenging for beginners. Its best to practice on carpet or grass before you try on concrete. The ollie consists of popping the tail of the board down and sliding up the front foot while jumping in the air. Sliding up your front foot evens the board out in mid air.
The ollie should be done all in one motion. Place your back foot on the tail and your front foot just behind the front bolts. Pop your back foot down to the ground, roll your front foot ankle and slide it up towards the nose. Level your feet in the air and stomp both feet back down to the ground at the same time. It should be all one motion.
